Generation Forward: Director Joins Forces with Wapiti
(St. Louis) Ken Trzaska, a Dean of Continuing Education and Community Engagement at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley in north St. Louis Co., joined the Pfoodman group as a consultant for Wapiti, Pfoodman’s travel and retreat venture. Wapiti is designed to inspire the love of the outdoors and if offers benefits to corporations, schools and community organizations.
This past fall youths from Generation Forward Experience, an action-learning youth leadership program in St. Louis, booked an outdoor getaway to Innsbrook Resort. Two more retreats are planned for summer 2008.
Trzaska, who founded the Generation Forward program, aims to help high school students grasp an understanding of the community around them and prepare them with leadership by helping them to build solid communication skills, experience social interaction and find resources for college preparation.
